Contract Termination

Releasing Players and Compensation
Contracts of professional players can be cancelled before the date they are scheduled to expire, so that they can leave the club with immediate effect. To release a player from his contract a small fee in the form of compensation must be paid.

The amount of compensation to be paid is dependent on remaining term of the contract. Compensation amounts are graded according to the length of the contract and is resolved by the following rule

For the current season: 90% of the player's salary
For the upcoming season: 80% of the player's salary
For the third season: 70% of the player's salary
For the fourth season: 60% of the player's salary

Compensation is payable immediately, and is deducted from the team's account once the contract has been terminated.
